Faculty Position in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering

The Department of Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Utah is expanding its faculty and seeks to fill a tenure-track position. Hiring at the assistant or associate professor level is anticipated. The Department of Metallurgical Engineering has a rich tradition of excellence in mineral and metal extraction, characterization, processing, production, and manufacturing technologies. Applicants with teaching and research interests in mineral processing, particle technology, mathematical modeling, interfacial phenomena and nano-technology are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, and should demonstrate the capability for establishing a strong externally funded research program. The successful candidate will be expected to develop modern and effective courses. A doctoral degree in metallurgical engineering or an allied field is required. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
